In the Belgium federal Firearms legislation, firearms magazines are classified as licensed firearms products identical to ammunition and firearms and essential firearms parts, , Local Belgian Clients need to be holder of a firearms license or firearms collection license or firearms dealer license to be able to acquire the specific magazines.

Depending on the type of holder license and the specific use of the magazine a restriction regarding the ammunition capacity of the magazines is emplaced. ( the capacity restrictions can be found in Article 2-27 of the federal gun legislation)
